Abrazo West Campus will present its annual Rescue Roundup 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at 13677 W. McDowell Road, Goodyear, in the hospital’s east parking lot. Each year the event attracts some 1,500 attendees for interactive fun and health education.

Abrazo West Campus is collaborating with emergency responders and public safety agencies from throughout the West Valley for the event. In addition to fire trucks, ambulances and air evac helicopter displays, educational booths will offer health information including stroke prevention, heart health, prescription medication precautions and more.

“Rescue Roundup is one of the hospital’s signature events to showcase how our Level I Trauma Center and hospital works hand in hand with first responders to keep our community safe and healthy,” Abrazo West Campus CEO Christina Oh stated. “As we continue to grow and serve our West Valley communities, Rescue Roundup is a fun way to provide health and safety education to visitors of all ages.”

Activities will include:

• Car seat safety checks 9 –11:30 a.m.

• Bicycle giveaway

• Helicopters, fire trucks and ambulances on display

• Police K9 demonstrations

• Health information and education

• Abrazo West hospital information

• Free food and drinks and more

Abrazo West Campus celebrated its 15th anniversary last September with the announcement of plans for a twelve bed expansion project. The new nursing unit will provide added capacity to meet the growing need for inpatient beds to serve West Valley communities.
